- Mission:
- Compassion Ministries provides "transitional housing for homeless families."
- Volunteer Duties:
- Assist in a variety of ways, including supervising and tutoring children, developing and reviewing individual budgets, discussing employment with clients, preparing apartments for new families, and helping with office work or special events.
- Volunteer Requirements:
- Volunteers must pass a criminal history check.
- Training:
- Offered as needed
- Time Commitment:
- Long- and short-term opportunities are available.
- Group Volunteering:
- Clubs/groups/organizations welcome as needed. Please call for information.
- Recommended For:
- Students interested in serving those living in homelessness in their community, such as social service, education and mental health majors
- Benefits:
- Volunteers learn more about various professional fields (including social services), improve their community and learn about how non-profits work.
